On January 13th and 14th, school children travelling from Bletchley to Wolverton by rail had to go in a parcels van. This action brought a very strong protest from Bletchley Council’s Public Works Committee. Cllr. F Evans, a railway man said that they had had some explanation from British Railways. Council chairman, Cllr. W Caldwell, said it was nothing more than rank bad management.

Cllr. R. Staniford said he was sure they did what they thought to be right, but he thought the Council should this put thing in  perspective.
